Primary Education: Minj Primary School, Jiwaka Province.

Secondary Education: Kabiufa Adventist Secondary School, Eastern Highlands Province.

Tertiary School: University of Papua New Guinea (1993 & 2002).

Achievements: Graduated with a Bachelor in Arts Degree from UPNG IN 1993, Postgraduate Graduate Honours in Environmental Science in 2000.

 

Professional

Community Interests: Make Tari-Pori and Papua New Guinea a Safer Place.

Last Occupation: Acting Assistant Secretary of Policy with the Department of Personnel Management to Elections Personnel Management (2001-2006).

Parliamentary Services: Re-elected to the 10th National Parliament as the Member for Tari-Pori Open.

2007: Appointed Minister for Finance and Leader of Government Business (2007).

2007: Appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary for Works and Transport on 29/08/2007.

2011: Appointed to Privileges Committee as Deputy Chair and Member of Parliamentary Referral Committee on Inter- Government Relations on 18/08/2011.

2008-2011: Appointed Minister for Education on 16/12/2008 – 02/08/2011.

2012: Appointed Minister for Finance on July 2012.

2019 – 11 April 2019: Resigned as Minister for Finance and Rural Development – 3rd Term in Parliament.

20 April 2019 - Resigned from the People’s National Congress Party and Joined the Pangu Pati and was given the leadership.

Current: Nominated, elected and sworn in as the 8th Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea by the National Parliament on 30 May 2019.
