National Capital District (NCD) Governor Powes Parkop called on all citizens in the city to prepare for the world leaders visit and make it a memorable one.
Governor Parkop said the visit by US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Hon. Narendra Modi to PNG is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
“Let’s work together to prepare this city for the arrival of both leaders, including the Pacific Island Leaders, by cleaning and dressing it.”
He said that this was done to support the government’s and the Prime Minister’s decision to convene the summit.
“Our preparedness will promote the beauty of our beautiful country, Papua New Guinea, to the World,” he said.
Governor Parkop has urged the people to prepare to receive the delegates.
As the host Governor, he said, “It is our duty to provide the leaders a comprehensive understanding of Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby because they won’t be able to travel the entire country.
The Motu-Koita Assembly and the NCDC city hall will work together to prepare the city to welcome and accommodate the delegates.
